Description:
Cadre’s Transit division offers our clients technical rail service solutions including commissioning and testing of new transit vehicles, warranty repairs, preventative maintenance, and inspection services. Our contractors work with the leading Ontario transit suppliers and agencies, ensuring their equipment is available to provide reliable on time service to their passengers in some of North America’s largest transit systems.
Our client is seeking a Project Manager – Building Systems Integration to join their construction project. The PM – Building Systems Integration will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in managing systems integration of large commercial or institutional construction projects applying optimized systems engineering processes to the delivery of infrastructure projects.
Summary of Position
- Demonstrates leadership in health, safety and environmental protection on the project. Applies the requirements of the project specific safety program to promote overall compliance of health and safety standards, applicable OH&S Acts, regulations and codes with all employees and subcontractors on the project.
- Execute Systems Engineering processes to deliver successful project outcomes, including requirements management, interface management, validation and verification, configuration management and progressive assurance.
- Lead teams responsible for integration, configuration, and site integration testing (SIT) of rail rapid transit Systems;
- Lead the integration and SIT of the Systems for CCTV, Intrusion Access Control, SCADA, communication network, standard facility systems, etc,
- Effectively communicate expectations, track performance of engineering team and subcontractors, and take proactive measures to address technical challenges.
- Engage with the Testing and Commissioning team at key stages to ensure success of the Testing and Commissioning program.
- Interface with the Systems Design & SIT Team and others to determine schedules, support systems integration, and coordinating the installation and T&C activities.
- Provide oversight and support for various stages of systems SIT.
- Support various transit related pursuits from the perspective of the Systems Integration.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Completion of a diploma or degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Computer Science, or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent.
- Experience working with building equipment integration at a large commercial or institutional construction project
- Understanding of Private Public Partnership (P3) and other typical contractual structures for the delivery of rail and transit infrastructure projects.
- Experience working with transit systems would be considered a strong asset.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in providing leadership in systems integration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have the ability to navigate and execute in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
- Must be result-oriented.
