PROJECT MANAGER

Location: Ajax, ON
Term: Contract Position; 12 months (extendable)
Pay Range: $44 -$51 per hour
Shift: Monday-Friday; 37 hours per week

JOB SUMMARY:

As the OneAD Project Manager, you will plan, budget, oversee and document all aspects of the OneAD Server Migration project. You will work closely with all levels of the organization to ensure that the scope and direction of the project is on schedule, budget and within scope. You will be responsible to lead the project all the while reporting status back to the IT Factory PM Lead. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring all deliverables and requirements for the project are delivered as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education &/or Certifications: University degree in Computer Science or Business Administration. A Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset but not required.
Work Experience:
4 + years of previous working experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
Proven project management skills
Proven analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
Proven customer service skills
Excellent interpersonal, listening, written and oral communication skills in English (French is a desired asset)
Experience in sever domain migration is required.
Experience in networking recommended.
Hands-on experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modelling and mapping.
Dev-ops experience
Hands-on experience of agile methodologies, especially the Scrum process framework
Experience with managing development, testing and implementation of infrastructure solutions.
Ability to work independently, autonomously and in teams in a cross functional environment.
Ability to troubleshoot issues by performing extensive research and utilizing personal and team experience.
Specialized Knowledge: Analytical and problem-solving skills as well as coaching and change management. Knowledge of project management standards, tools and processes. Working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Visio, and SharePoint.
Communication Skills:
Internal: Ability to work effectively across multiple disciplines and departments at all levels of the facility.
External: Outstanding communication skills required for interaction with outside suppliers, customers, and sub-contractors

Server Migration Experience is very important

• Windows migration
• Technical knowledge

• Manage the entire project lifecycle by following best practices and guidelines to ensure all requirements are delivered on time, on quality and on budget.
• Ensure identification of the project benefits during the initiation phase and that processes are developed during the project lifecycle to measure achieved benefits.
• Apply appropriate methodology (Waterfall or agile) to ensure speedy and accurate execution of the assigned project activities.
• Define and manage the portfolio of sub-projects required to meet the OneAD migration plan.
• Ensure project scope and deliverables for the project team are understood and approved by business partners
• Create and/or coordinate the creation of all selected deliverables as per the SLS project methodology (Projects and technical deliverables)
• Work closely with the customer to collect requirements specifications to ensure accurate execution by the team members responsible for implementing the project deliverables.
• Facilitate requirements gathering and design sessions with multiple stakeholders to extract requirements that meet stakeholder needs.
• Create and manage the procurement plan when required by obtaining / reviewing quotes, creating capital expenditure requests, requesting POs, managing the suppliers in collaboration with the technical team.
• Provide status reports and updates as appropriate and lead daily/weekly review sessions with key stakeholders
• Prepare and participate in the delivery of presentations to sponsors, stakeholders and business partners connected to the project
• Manages the day-to-day operational aspects of the project and scope including project logs, issues, action items, risks queries and change management and escalation processes.
