Responsibilities:

The Project Manager, Chamber Systems, will be the department’s key representative in the upgrade/replacement of core Table Office information systems that support the operations of the House of Representatives. Supported by a Senior Project Officer, the Project Manager, Chamber Systems, will directly support and influence the projects to replace the Table Offices Production System (TOPS), the Bills System and functionality to support Questions in Writing. The Project Manager will also be a point of contact and liaison for Senior Project Officers embedded in the Serjeant’s and Committee Offices.
Chamber systems are unique and play a critical role in facilitating the operations of the House of Representatives and Federation Chamber. To succeed in this role, the successful applicant will need a thorough understanding of House of Representatives and Federation Chamber business, as well as the existing information systems and their data sources. The Project Manager will be embedded in the House of Representatives Table Office to rapidly become familiar with the subject matter and work closely with Table Office staff.
The successful applicant will be a subject matter expert for these projects, empowered to make timely decisions on behalf of the department on business requirements, solution design, system integrations, and outputs. They will also contribute to the development of a new centralised parliamentary calendar capability.
The Project Manager, Chamber Systems, will supervise a Senior Project Officer and ensure all relevant project objectives and milestones are met.
