Custom Solar can offer a number of different financing solutions to their clients including capital purchase, PPAs and leasing options. They also offer a full O&M package with all new solar installations as well as the ability to roll this service out to third party installations. Custom Solar have a number of high-profile clients, including the Association of British Ports (ABP). Custom Solar secured a framework partnership with ABP, the UK’s leading port operator, with a unique network of 21 ports across England, Scotland and Wales. Their ports include Immingham and Hull, where Custom Solar recently installed the UK’s largest rooftop project, a 6.5MWp solar system across the main terminals buildings with works including major HV upgrade works.

Responsibilities:

  • Project focal point for client and internal teams. Liaising with Designers & Business Development Management team, and back-end handovers with the Operation & Maintenance team, where necessary.
  • Carry out pre-construction activities, including but not limited to; Risk registers, RAMS, CPP, on-site client meetings, allocation of installation team(s), review approvals, creating project program and surveying sites.
  • Ensure QHSE standards are adhered to throughout all projects and members of the team actively participate in Health & Safety. Escalate & record accidents/incidents, utilise H&S protocols and inspire observation reporting.
  • Gather & maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, permits, approvals, and compliance records.
  • Carry out weekly updates to stakeholders, compile project data for internal progress tracking and complete KPI reports with accurate critical information.
  • Sign-off project with internal installation managers and confirm designs & standards have been adhered to.
  • Request purchase orders where necessary. Schedule plant, materials and labour while tracking budgets.
  • Identify, resolve and log risks, while co-ordinating with various teams to ensure smooth running of operations.
  • Monitor project expenses, ensure cost control measures are being followed and prepare accurate financial reports.
  • Take responsibility for budget and time milestones, sharing clear deadlines with procurement and supporting invoices with finance & commercial. Own the project from contract execution to successful testing & hand-over.
  • Implement quality management processes to ensure project deliverables meet the required standards, scored by the QA team. Ensure snags are complete prior to handing over a live system to the client and the O&M team.
