Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced project manager to work with an existing a highly motivated team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Overall management of construction Defence projects from initial setup through to completion
- Ensure compliance with HSECQ requirements
- Ensure effective cost control and efficient running of the project
- Coordinate direct labour and subcontractors
- Project progress reporting and conducting weekly meetings
- Provision of advice on any technical and engineering issues
- Liaise closely with the client ensuring project runs to program
- Involvement with tendering/estimation
- Raise RFI’s and track responses
This role will suit a motivated and progressive leader, who relishes autonomy and can build a local team culture that supports the DDR Australia visions and goals.
- Experienced in leading & completing multiple construction, refurbishment and remediation projects
- Experience with tier 2 clientele
- Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management or similar
- Proven ability to positively influence, develop and maintain stakeholder relationships
- Ability to self-manage own workload whilst ensuring a project efficiency and a positive team environment
- Proven problem-solving capability with an approachable leadership style
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and manage deadlines
- A natural leader who is willing to develop people and achieve delivery target
