Description:

Randstad are currently partnering with a national leading electrical manufacturing organisation based in the North Western suburbs who are seeking a Project Manager to join their team on a full time basis.
Position Description
In this critical role, you will be responsible for delivering all allocated projects, ensuring the key milestone and HSA QA standards are achieved within agreed time frames and financial targets. This involves leading and resourcing the team, effectively communicating project milestones, managing key stakeholders and effectively utilising resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall performance or project employees including inductions, Performance and Development Plans, training and development.
  • Provide project staff with regular feedback, coaching and mentoring
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of safe work practices and work within HSE systems
  • Manage the project schedule, costs, industrial relations, HSE and Quality Functions
  • Provide regular reports to the Division Manager including monthly reviews and take action on any matters requiring risk mitigation and/or project improvement
  • Take corrective actions as required to achieve project margins and address any problems with time and cost implication
  • Oversee the completion of project administration including variation processing and other financial metrics such as accurate material and labour forecasting
  • Understand and ensure compliance with all project requirements, applicable to Australian Standards, specifications and statutory requirements for labour, plant, equipment and materials
  • Prepare and submit accurate financial and job progress reports and other site performance information in a timely manner

Requirements

  • Experience in Switchboard Manufacturing
  • Tertiary qualification in Project Management and/or a Diploma in Management (desirable)
  • Electrical Trade, Electrical Engineer and Project Management Qualifications (essential)
  • Engineer with proven experience working in like industries, particularly the construction industry (desirable)
  • Minimum of 5 years working as a Project Manager on projects in the construction industry or demonstrated ability to work across multi-disciplined projects (essential)
