Laitram Machinery is currently seeking a Project Manager in our Engineering department.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure clear project requirements
• Ensure clear scope of work and alignment to requirements
• Build and manage Project Plan (Engineering to Commissioning)
• Work with sales, engineering, service and the customer to develop and document a plan for efficient installations and commissioning of equipment.
• Identify project risks and develop plans for risk mitigation.
• Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure timely, efficient project execution and completion.
• Communicate and interface with management, team members, and internal customers on project status.
• Willingness to assist in product testing and other project related tasks.

Requirements:

• Engineering/Technical degree or 5+ years of relevant technical work experience
• 1 year or more demonstrated project management skills with multi-discipline design projects.
• Experience with software essential to the job (e.g., MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, AutoCad).
• Ability to travel as needed (1 - 2 weeks/3 to 4 times a year)
• Excellent relationship skills with team members, subcontractors, internal customers, other internal resources (including management, engineers, and plant personnel).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Maintain poise and focus under time constraint pressures and adverse conditions.
• Ability to understand project requirements, identify and allocate resources with the expertise to meet them, and coordinate resources to reach a successful outcome.
• Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Project Management Professional certification
• 5 years of experience working in a technical role in an Engineering, R&D and/or Manufacturing environment
• SolidWorks experience
  EOE/M/F/Vet/Disable
