The Project Manager Supply Chain Engineering will be the lead engineer accountable to deliver on Walmart Canada’s new OMNI automation strategy distribution and fulfillment centers. Responsible for vendor selection, facility design systems integration, and data analytics for project spend of over $400 million.

1. As the lead engineer, they will design solutions and implement the execution of Walmart’s OMNI automation strategic vision with Program Director + level. Align strategy with that of the organization and other departments, seeking to maximize effectiveness through collaboration
2. Drive innovative, state of the art solutions leading selected vendor partners to deliver on Walmart’s requirements while managing vendor budgets of over $400 million in capital spend per project.
3. Lead, as the automation Subject Matter Expert, RFP discussions with multiple vendors and working with cross functional teams to develop contract agreement
4. Review and analyze budgets and financial reports to see implications in the implementation and management of solutions. Refine solutions as required. Track progress towards outcomes consistently incorporating new technology and new information from stakeholders. Create measurement Key Performance Indicators “KPI’s” to determine pre and post project success.
5. Lead facility design, optimization, process workshops and Kaizen events
6. Develop operation cost models, facility throughput models and process simulation models
7. During project execution, provide guidance and counsel to project director(s) regarding technical workstreams, and act as an expert liaison between project director(s) and various technical disciplines.
8. Facilitate effective project turnover and knowledge transfer from project teams to operational and support teams, acting as a primary technical point of contact for the end user up until final handover.‎
