Description:
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a large-scale upgrade of a PLM system and manage the associated data migration. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end system and data migration process, focusing on ensuring a seamless transition.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a PLM system upgrade project, including planning, scheduling, risk management, and budgeting.
- Develop project plans using standard tools.
- Lead a cross-functional team, fostering collaboration and clear communication.
- Use methodologies, manage scope changes, and maintain realistic project plans.
- Regularly update stakeholders on project status, risks, and changes.
- Coordinate with vendors and consultants, ensuring deliverables meet project requirements and timelines.
- Oversee data migration, ensuring integrity and accuracy.
- Implement quality assurance for successful system deployment.
- Analyse relationships between problems and issues, initiate research, and review reports.
- Identify and manage issues impacting project delivery, establish clear goals and priorities.
- Lead project teams to meet deliverables within budget and timescale.
- Use metrics to assess project success and make changes.
- Lead knowledge transfer and post-mortem for lessons learned.
- Managing all phases of the project life cycle.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field
- An additional course or certification in Business Consulting or Project Management
- Additional Technical Certifications: Scrum Master
Essential skills:
- Strong knowledge and experience with PLM System upgrades and data migrations.
- Familiarity with Teamcenter PLM.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage complex initiatives within specified timelines and budgets.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities to ensure alignment and collaboration among team members.
- Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality assurance and adherence to regulatory standards.
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in system upgrades and migration projects, specifically in Teamcenter PLM.
- Experience of leading large scale transformation programs, involving business process and change, organization change, and multiple large-scale technology components
- Experience as project manager, scrum master, scrum coach, or delivery lead.
- Experience working with technical teams, architecture, and 3rd party suppliers/providers.
- Applying problem-solving methodologies and tools to diagnose and solving problems
- Using project management tools, tracking plans and actual statistics from inception through to implementation
