In Obsolescence Component Management team, we are using our expert knowledge to help our designers use only the most perspective and reliable parts in our groundbreaking systems. For this purpose, we are monitoring the market and new trends in technology. We are also preventing, identifying, and solving issues resulting from part obsolescence or unavailability on market.
As a key member of the OCM team, you will work closely with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), OCM, and various other departments. Your role will focus on the seamless coordination between these groups, leading major obsolescence projects, and contributing to the improvement of our processes. This is a fantastic opportunity to deepen your technical understanding and lead projects that ensure the continuous production and development of our products.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or relevant field experience demonstrating the required skills.
  • At least 2-4 years of experience in a high-tech industry, with a focus on project management and obsolescence/component management.
  • Strong technical background with the ability to assess the lifecycle potential of components and navigate technical documentation.
  • Experience in managing cross-functional and cross-site projects, with the ability to foster cooperation among diverse teams.
  • Proficient in English, with excellent communication skills to effectively articulate technical issues and solutions.
  • Understanding of design principles, product development cycles, and change management processes.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing, service, and supply chain processes is advantageous.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate efforts between PLM, OCM, and other relevant departments to manage and mitigate the impacts of component obsolescence.
  • Lead projects focusing on the identification, evaluation, and resolution of major obsolescence challenges.
  • Work alongside the existing team to process obsolescence cases, ensuring technical compatibility and compliance.
  • Enhance current processes and methodologies within the OCM domain, promoting continuous improvement, identifying cost savings and innovation.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels across global teams, facilitating the timely execution of obsolescence management projects.
  • Proactively identify potential component discontinuances and devise strategic plans to address them, minimizing production delays and sustaining customer satisfaction.
  • Influence product development by driving necessary improvements and optimizations in response to component lifecycle changes.
  • Manage comprehensive information regarding obsolete components, initiating corrective actions, including cost analysis and efficient decision-making for replacements or redesigns.
