Green Technology R&D DK today consists of 17 people and is part of Green Innovation department that today counts approximately 30 people in Denmark, India and the United States. As a Project Manager in Green Technology R&D, you will join the team where we develop and commercialize combustion, pyrolysis, fluidized bed technologies, materials and emissions processes for FLSmidth to be the sustainability leader in the cement industry. Our department is composed of R&D project managers and subject matter experts, where we each contribute to multiple projects. We are based in Valby and travel frequently to our test center in Dania (Mariager) and also to the customer sites for field tests and measurements. Our stakeholder landscape includes Process Line managers, Engineering, Process Design, CFD simulation, external start-up partners and Legal and IP colleagues. We get resources globally assigned to our projects and embrace a culturally diverse atmosphere. The role can be based in Dania or Valby, depending on the candidate.

Your responsibilities

• Establish and execute R&D project charters with relevant technical objectives through cross functional collaboration, support project team’s analytical thinking, hypothesis and experimental test plans, and provide leadership for research and development projects as the project manager.
• Create alignment with all stakeholders at every step of the project.
• Communicate with concise messages to the stakeholders.
• Be accountable for the quality of project delivery.
• Apply the R&D stage gate process rules to the projects and follow DIFOT principles.
• Challenge the status quo of equipment and process solutions, and align stakeholders in a constructive manner to produce alternatives.
• Lead and manage 2-3 R&D project teams and external partnerships in parallel.

What you bring

• PMI certification is preferred.
• Masters in Science, Technology and Engineering fields is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of work experience in a project management environment.
• Excellent planning, tracking and stakeholder management skills. Knowledge about stage gate governance model and agile development methodology, achieved via previous work history.
• Experience in interacting with the end users at every stage of the R&D process starting with requirement specifications to the delivery quality parameters.
• Experience in estimating capital and operating costs for process development.
