POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Project Manager with experience managing complex software development projects and a track record of delivering on schedule and within budget. The successful candidate will be extremely organized and will be the primary interface between our engineering team and product owners. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, execution, and delivery creating achievable schedules and holding project teams accountable to commitments. The PM will facilitate field testing, gather feedback, and lead the overall release process.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. Project management certification (PMP, CAPM) is preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in project management roles preferably in a technology-driven environment.
  • Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, CI/DC) and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana) is preferred.
  • Experience with code versioning systems (Subversion and/or Git experience ideal)
  • Familiarity with cross-platform mail/browser QA tools such as Browserstack and Litmus
  • Experience in a fast-paced development environment related to the delivery of software for browser, mobile, and desktop applications.
  • Ability to be self-motivating and have a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Ability to work on multiple, concurrent tasks and adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines.
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Familiarity with Amazon cloud environment (AWS) preferred.
  • Basic understanding of web technologies and development environments preferred.
  • Passion for the game of golf a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Assume primary responsibility for coordination and communication between departments on assigned projects including project documentation, status reports, and other deliverables.
  • Meet with stakeholders to determine scope and capture requirements including revisions and stakeholder consensus.
  • Assign tasks to project team members and track progress. Brief departmental management regularly.
  • Monitor project timelines, track milestones and communicate changes to project release dates as they occur.
  • Identify, track, and resolve issues and risks associated with projects or programs managed. Communicate risks and issues regularly to project team and executive leadership.
  • Manage testing and participate in quality assurance prior to release to ensure that project requirements have been met by engineering solutions.
  • Document known issues and bugs on pre-release software, collect feedback from QA and field testers post-release.
  • Exercise consistent good judgment and discretion in matters of significance
  • Keep HQ teams up to date on release schedule in advance for the preparation of marketing, support, and training. Author release notes.
  • Work with support teams to identify immediate post-release bug fixes. Author requirements for bug fixes and manage QA and release of bug fixes.
  • Foster effective communication and teamwork with project members and collaboration with other departments.
