GNI Management Group Inc. is looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our expanding Production Operations team. Reporting to the Director of Production Operations - ICI, this individual will take on the full responsibility for end-to-end project management and delivering planned project performance. This person will engage with internal partners, 3rd party contractors, internal technical experts, customers, the sales team, and other resources as required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, building technology, construction management, or similar. Alternatively, significant pertinent work experience.
  • Two to four years experience working as a project manager in the construction industry.
  • PMP qualification preferred.
  • Experience in insulation or building envelope industries an asset.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage project plan(s) for assigned construction/installation projects.
  • Develop and manage project budget, providing timely reporting and updates to the Director of Production Operations and the senior leadership team.
  • Full responsibility for end-to-end project management.
  • Working with clients to detail specific project deliverables.
  • Creating a timeline of goals to be met.
  • Developing project plans for clients and internal functions
  • Delegating project tasks to individuals and teams best suited to complete them.
  • Tracking project performance and analyzing deliverables against requirements.
  • Ensuring that all budgetary objectives are met, making adjustments as needed.
  • Planning the work to be done, getting the necessary personnel, and assigning the right duties to the right people
  • Coordinating tasks by different people on different sites to ensure uniformity upon project completion.
  • Ensuring timely completion of the project to build client trust while avoiding unnecessary penalties.
  • Working within the budget by adequately estimating the costs and cutting unnecessary expenses
  • Work with Procurement on acquisition and allocation of resources to ensure there is no shortage while avoiding any unnecessary delays caused by management decisions.
  • Managing both internal and external risks within the project’s lifetime, such as poor planning designs, and government policies, which directly or indirectly affect the project.
