An exciting opportunity for an experienced project professional to support this listed client with the selection of a new accounting platform.
My client is highly profitable business being a listed company. They have carved out a niche in the technology industry and are seeing the business perform to their strategic plan on a global basis. Through their journey it’s time to upgrade their accounting systems to match the company’s growth. They have central offices in the Sydney CBD working under a hybrid working arrangement.

EXPERIENCE

The successful candidate would have either come from a finance background or have the ability to reference multiple deployments of finance GL systems, having the ability to work as a key stakeholder in COA design. We will be seeking Project professionals who have worked on more of the midsized ERP projects than the tier one products, giving examples on support around system selection too.
You will need to display outstanding communication skills to manage external SI stakeholders and internal management stakeholders on what will be a key capital project for this company over the next 12-18 months. Methodical planning and budgetary control will be needed as well as outstanding leadership capabilities.

This Project Manager will be required to come into the operation, understand the current operating model, the future growth of the organization and effectively how the finance team are currently operating from AP/AR through to external reporting including all budgeting and forecasting.
Being hands on documenting all of the key AS IS processes, you will be required to build out a sufficient RFP document to ask 3-4 key technology solutions to pitch for the work to provide licenses and configuration as the SI.
Once you have supported the selection process, you will be required to build an internal project team using internal and external resources to support the design and delivery of this new accounting system with modules of:
AP, AR, Payroll, Procurement, HR, GL, Expense management, Fixed asset, Reporting.
You will be required to build a project plan to work out resourcing, budget control, design of COA, future state processes, data plan (cleanse, conversion with testing), change management, training and the GO LIVE plan and post GO LIVE hyper care.
