Full Job Description
High performing regional contractor establishing an Auckland branch to cater for ongoing requests from key clients in the Auckland region.
We require Project Managers with strong planning and leadership skills, good knowledge of NZ codes and compliance who come with solid structures experience in commercial construction.

Key experience needed:

  • Strong planning - MS Project, procore
  • Managing insitu concrete
  • Precast concrete
  • Structural steel
  • Cranage
  • Sure loading and propping
  • Scaffolding systems
  • Bulk earth works
  • Cut and fill,
  • Retaining & piling
  • In ground services
  • Site works
  • Trade letting, assisting with trade letting, suggesting alternatives.

NB: Must have NZ citizenship or Perm residency to NZ in place.
We would expect the successful candidate to have strong commercial acumen and be able to deal with variations, extension of time either doing it themselves or working with a QS to get them in then negotiating and agreeing on terms. Someone who can manage trade letting or assisting with trade letting and suggesting alternatives.
The role of Project Manager is centred on the management of projects, ensuring timeliness, quality and financial targets are met. In addition, leadership and mentoring of support staff is a significant part of this position, as is building successful relationships with clients, contractors and consultants among other stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be analytical and independent with the ability to understand, interpret and implement building site plans and specifications. Strong coordination and facilitation competencies are essential for success in this role.
