Location: Melbourne, Victoria
Duration: 3-month temporary contract
Are you an experienced Project Manager with a passion for engineering and community development? We have an exciting opportunity for a Temporary Project Manager.
About the role:
They are committed to enhancing the lives of our residents through sustainable infrastructure projects. As a Temporary Project Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in delivering key engineering initiatives that directly impact our local community.
Role Overview:
As a Temporary Project Manager, you will:
- Manage civil urban works projects from planning through to construction and handover to service managers within the Council.
- Ensure the projects are delivered to agreed timeframes and budgets.
- Provide necessary reports to stakeholders and council on the projects.
- Monitor project budgets to ensure expenditure within approved allocations.
- Prepare and update all project management methodology requirements including tools, templates, Gantt charts
- Provide engineering support to the Integrated Water Management team to ensure public and private stormwater developments comply with the Council’s and other standards, relevant codes and create sustainable developments across the municipality.
- Assist and provide specialist feedback and advice to the EPMO as required
- Prepare plans and documentation for a variety of engineering projects as part of the Council’s works program. Evaluate design options based on economic, aesthetic, maintenance and construction requirements.
- Other duties as directed within the skills and capabilities of a position at this level
