About the role
The purpose of this position is to lead individual, multi-disciplined real estate project solutions for healthcare clients. The ideal candidate will develop and coordinate project scope, schedules, and budgets, manage design and construction, and serve as the project lead for the construction of facilities such as hospitals, outpatient care facilities, clinics, and MRI Suites.
Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Serves as an agent of the Owner leading all phases of construction projects including planning, scheduling, budgeting, design, construction, owner test fits, and regulatory interaction with the support of the internal Facilities Team, User Groups, Owner’s Corporate Real Estate, Construction Managers, and business partners.
- Lead specialty healthcare projects such as joint commission preparation and aesthetic improvements such as kitchen dishwasher repairs, service elevator refresh, suspended ceiling repairs, and wall and floor refresh projects from inception through close-out.
- Will be responsible for coordinating complex parking garage projects, through collaboration with concrete vendors, contractors, architects, and engineers.
- Develops requests for proposals, issues LOIs, negotiates terms and conditions, contract development, and awards project work.
- Evaluating and coordinating contract documents for outside construction contractors, including approval for payment applications to the Owner.
- Requisition equipment, and other owner-furnished materials for the construction project.
- Applies broad industry experience to improve and/or introduce new business practices, policies, and procedures necessary to achieve organizational goals.
- Takes initiative regarding risk management/mitigation and prioritization with a budget, scope, schedule, communications, or other matters as necessary to prevent negative impacts on the projects.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, facilities management, construction management, or equivalent education and experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in project management, construction management, or facilities management in design/construction management for surgical suites, hospitals, clinics, and outpatient facilities preferred.
- Experience with software MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project, and PowerPoint.
- Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time within the region, with some overnight travel.
