POSITION DESCRIPTION
The PM II position will be responsible for management of multi-year projects under HGL’s EPA contracts as well as support for the overall EPA programs. This position is fully remote, however, employees will be required to visit/work at local HGL offices on occasion. Some travel will be required.
Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
The person hired for this role will be responsible for:
- Management of technical and administrative aspects of CERCLA RI/FS, RD/RA, operations and maintenance (O&M), and/or long-term monitoring (LTM) or RCRA-equivalent phases of environmental investigation and restoration projects.
- Meeting project scope, schedule, budget requirements.
- Directing, managing, and leading project teams to meet project objectives in-line with corporate and customer quality expectations.
- Communicating effectively with clients, regulators, project team members, and company management.
- Effectively manage project risks and develop mitigation approaches and strategies.
- Supporting business development efforts, including leading or supporting proposal efforts.
The ideal candidate will need the following as a foundation for success in this role:
- 6+ years of directly related experience executing and managing investigation and remediation projects under CERCLA and RCRA, including oversight of project teams, management of budget, schedule, safety, quality, technical performance, and customer satisfaction.
- BA/BS in Engineering, Science, or a related academic field (MA/MS in a related field may decrease the years of experience required).
- Excellent time management and organization skills, including the ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and keep organized to ensure timely and accurate work.
- Self-starter, with analytical and leadership skills, with ability to make informed decisions independently with minimal oversight during project execution.
- Ability to build consensus among leadership, internal, and external stakeholders through effective interpersonal communication and relationship building skills.
