Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager to manage large-scale mechanical projects. This role will have full responsibility for planning, organizing, and directing the completion of the projects, while ensuring these projects are on time, on budget, and within scope. Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is a premier custom design build contractor for industrial refrigeration systems, providing design, fabrication, construction, commissioning, and service in-house.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree Engineering (BSME preferred) or prior project management experience
- Prior construction/manufacturing experience preferred but not required
- Strong negotiating skills with the ability to deliver cost effective materials to work sites in a timely/efficient manner
- The ability to make independent business decision within budget, seeking guidance only when dealing with exceptionally difficult issues
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to problem solve quickly and effectively
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Excels in an ever-changing work environment
- Weekend and evening support of field construction work as needed
Responsibilities:
- Manage large scale refrigeration construction projects from award through to commissioning and final punch list completion
- Manage customer communication with the owner and general contractor
- Review contracts
- Coordinate work with all trades
- Develop, maintain and meet a project schedule that meets the overall general contractor schedule
- Ensure proper staffing levels and all materials/tools are on site when needed
- Create and maintain lasting relationships with current and new vendors on a national and local level
- Manage the project scope and quote change orders as needed
- Review engineering progress throughout the design process
- Track and follow up with purchasing on material requirements and delivery schedules
- Any other tasks necessary to complete the project
