JOB DESCRIPTION

OceanaGold are seeking a suitably qualified and highly motivated Manager IT Application Projects to ensure and support a successful delivery through structured leadership, coordination of resources, developing and maintaining strong relationships with technical.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5-10 years proven IT project management and delivery, with 3 years in a senior trusted role.
  • Experience in HSE or HRIS projects highly desirable
  • Successful management and coordination of technical IT teams and technology vendors, locally and internationally.
  • Strong vendor and stakeholder management skills and experience working with senior management.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, risk and change management skills

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a zero harm workplace and mind set.
  • Develop and maintain Project Management artefacts inc, project schedules, status reports, action/issue/risk logs, communications plans etc.
  • Identify and manage project risks and issues and escalate as required.
  • Manage project scope, activities, resources, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Build close relationships with OceanaGold teams and vendors.
  • Develop project documentation for handover to support.
  • Ensure projects meet IT governance and security requirements.
  • Regularly report on project status, progress, activities, and risk
  • Provide systems and business analysis capability to review project design and deliverables.
  • Provide Project Management support and guidance to team members.
  • Develop long term partnerships with business partners, vendors and employee groups.
  • Build a constructive workforce culture. Lead by example. Ensure fit within the company culture direction.
  • Develop a collaborative team like culture across time-zones to improve operational and project success.
  • Develop effective mitigation strategies to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met
