Description:

Lime Recruitment is currently working with a Queensland government department to recruit a Project Manager contract for 13 months based at Carseldine and working from home.
A Project Manager is required to undertake the successful delivery of a large transformational program of key internal Systems within a PRINCE2 environment, adhering to organisational governance and business requirements, and ensuring benefits can be realised.

The Project Manager will be responsible for:

  • Plan and coordinate project activities and resources to deliver the required outcome within budget and timeframes.
  • Liaise closely with project stakeholders, including Project Executives, Project Board Members Senior Users, Senior Suppliers as well as Senior Management and other Project Managers.
  • Act as a bridge between ICT and business units to ensure the project meet their needs.
  • Manage risks, issues, conflicts, change requests and priorities.
  • Manage project finances.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules.
  • Manage project resource allocations.
  • Provide direction and support for the project team.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting to stakeholders on the progress of the project.
  • Produce required project documentation in accordance with the policies and procedures within an Agile, PRINCE2 and MSP governance framework.
  • Ensure appropriate project governance and assurance activities are in place for the project. Develop and implement governance structures and processes to ensure project compliance with relevant policies and processes.
  • Develop and implement communication plans, organisational change management plans, and benefit realisation plans, where necessary. Communicate project updates to executive leadership, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Prepare and deliver periodic reports and executive briefs on the status and performance of the projects.

You will have:

  • Prince 2 Practitioner Qualified
  • Experience in ICT projects.
  • Current and varied experience across public and private sector
  • Recent experience with Microsoft Project and other PPM tools
  • Recent experience in delivering multiple application / COTS (commercial off the shelf) projects in a complex environment.
