Cognizant’s Insurance Consulting unit is seeking a talented consulting manager with experience leading large-scale business change and IT transformation for Insurance and/or Life & Pensions clients in the UK to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Governance, Risk, and Compliance. This role involves providing strategic consulting services to clients, ensuring they meet regulatory requirements and manage risks effectively. The candidate will play a crucial role in driving client success and contributing to the company’s growth.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Performed Project management roles on complex Business & Technology Transformation Programmes, with Life & Pensions clients; assisting them achieve their business, technology, strategic and operational goals.
  • Possess strong experience of leading project teams with minimal support and supervision.
  • Should be highly competent in using planning tools and experienced in implementing and operating financial control frameworks.
  • Should have a strong understanding and knowledge of the UK Life & Pensions business, products, and lifecycles.
  • Identify and develop trusted adviser relationship with project stakeholders and sponsors.
  • Ability to develop creative strategic solutions to solve clients’ business problems and create accompanying execution roadmaps to implement the changes.
  • Proven ability to demonstrate a drive for results and accountability of business needs.
  • Proven ability to work in an multi-squad environment and collaborate across multiple areas in order to achieve a common business or technical objective
  • Interpersonal skills to influence and spur change, facilitate and enhance performance within a cross - functional environment.
  • Demonstrate decisiveness in resolving business problems, making decisions and identifying priorities.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations to various audiences, including project team, sponsors, CIO and key stakeholders.
  • Define success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project lifecycle.
  • Deliver consistent status updates to client regarding performance to objectives, engagement constraints and mitigation plan for risks/issues.
  • Serve as “first line of defence” to ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables meet or exceed client expectations.

Industry Experience:

  • Deep experience of the London Market Insurance industry, preferably within the Life & Pensions or Broker sectors.
  • Project management skillset including defining project boundaries, reporting cadence, contemporary tools knowledge, risks & issues and mitigation strategies.
  • Hands-on experience across financial services and/or Insurance value chain is highly desirable.
  • Detailed knowledge of the UK Life & Pensions business lifecycle and Protection products.

DESIRABLE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Project Management and/or Scrum master certification
  • Experience on industry specific project management (Life & Pensions)
  • Experience managing teams re: research, development and authoring of consulting mindshare i.e. articles, whitepapers, and other collaterals via traditional and social media channels
