Project Manager (marine-applications)

On behalf of our customer we are now looking for a seasoned PROJECT MANAGER with documented maritime experience to strengthen the delivery team in Helsinki. As a world leader in the marine sector our customer provides innovative technologies and life-cycle solutions. The harnessing of maritime digitalisation enables better efficiency, safety and compliance. It combines bridge infrastructure, cloud data services, decision support systems, and smart port solutions to enable fleet operators shore-to-shore visibility. As a project manager you are part of the process making it all happen. You should preferably have several years of expecience in managing delivery projects from the beginning to closing. With your team at arm’s length distance you handle all steps in project; planning, scheduling, monitoring, managing project resources, risks mitigation, project financials, change management, communications and reporting. While you have an understanding of the physical ship context, electrical-automation and cablings you work seamlessly with technical delivery engineers, system engineers and commissioning engineers following well-defined timeframes.
Assignment duration is until further notice and following a successful ramp-up work can partly be done remotely. The assignment is also suitable for freelance entrepreneurs part of our supplier network.

We expect of you:

• relevant M.Sc/B.Sc engineering degree.
• fluent written and spoken English.
• fluent in MS Project
• proven track of more than 5 years of project management experience in system deliveries including physical equipments, electrical components and software. Preferably to ships.
• understanding of data interfaces to other system eg. data logger, data transfer, UI, performance monitoring, KPI’s
• and appreciate your knowledge of shipbuilding processes and ship operations.
• ability to work and make decision independently.
• good networking and collaboration skills with self-driven attitude and result orientation.
• ability to work both independently and as team member under the occasional time-pressure.
