DESCRIPTION:

The Role

Reporting to the Sales Manager you will be responsible to plan, schedule and expedite operations to achieve project goals and timeframes on major projects. The role will vary from day to day and will include but not limited to the following:

  • Plan and establish overall delivery objectives with consideration given to existing workload, orders, delivery dates, sales, and production forecasts
  • Coordinate schedules by communicating with other departments to avoid costly delay, customer dissatisfaction and complaints
  • Forecast project demand to enable the factory to align capacity
  • Provide interpretations of contracts organise or process correspondence with contracting parties with a view to execute contractual obligations
  • Negotiate program and delivery requirements in line with contractual lead time commitments
  • Manage contractual variations, surcharges and pricing movements
  • Identify and investigate growth areas and undertake specialist projects when required
  • Produce monthly project progress reports
  • Submit tender quotations on key projects in conjunction with Victorian Sales Manager

To be Successful

Our ideal candidate will have project management experience in a similar industry and will thrive in an environment where achieving a common goal within a time frame is paramount. To be successful, the ideal candidate must have:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Technical knowledge and skills in project management
  • Work in a team environment, that fosters getting the job done
  • Excellent computing skills
  • High degree of quality awareness
