Description:
PRIMARY DETAIL
Great opportunity for an experienced Project Manager seeking a part time role within the Health industry. Join a University owned Hospital and be a part of key projects with the Hospitals key stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities of a Project Manager include (not limited to):
- Manage and implement prioritised projects across MQ Health, aligned to the MQ Health Strategic Plan.
- Work with clinicians and managers to develop business cases to support the introduction of new staff, services and initiatives for the organisation.
- Establish, lead and drive project teams to ensure on time and within budget implementation of prioritised projects.
- Provide advice on all aspects of project implementation including preparing project briefs and plans, identifying and coordinating resources, stakeholder consultation, developing budgets, identifying key milestones, and reporting on progress.
- Engage effectively with key stakeholders, to ensure adequate consultation and the delivery of desired project outcomes on time and on budget.
- Ensure that the change associated with project delivery is managed openly and collaboratively using best practice change management principles.
- Identify the changing needs of stakeholders and work in partnership to ensure service needs are met within a framework of patient centred care.
- Demonstrate management of uncertainty, change, conflict, and sensitive issues to achieve positive outcomes with a high degree of probity and integrity

About You
Reporting to Senior Manager of Strategic Projects and Primary Care, the successful candidate will undertake the full cycle of project management activities including planning, stakeholder management, communication, and milestone reporting. The role will work across MQ Health to implement strategic business and operational projects aligned with the organisation’s strategic plan.

To be considered for this position, you will demonstrate the below requirement in your CV and a 1-2 page cover letter:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related discipline (Business, Health Management) and/or equivalent relevant experience
- Project Management certification
- Change management skills and experience in managing projects to successful completion in a healthcare environment
- Demonstrated experience in developing partnerships, eliciting cooperation and working effectively with a range of stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams
- Proven developed strategic, and analytical skills, including the ability to resolve competing demands and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication, negotiation, conflict resolution and influencing skills
- High level skills in conceptual and systemic thinking on the successful application of innovative approaches
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Thorough understanding of the Australian Healthcare System
- Strong commitment to uphold and be a steward of the Mission, Vision and Values of MQ Health
