Project Manager – Personalised Care / Primary Care

The North Central London Cancer Alliance (NCLCA) is seeking to appoint a Project Manager to join our growing team in improving cancer outcomes in North Central London.
The postholder will be responsible for managing a project that aims to gain a better understanding of data and information flows across the healthcare system for Personalised Cancer Care (PCC) interventions. A key objective of the project is the improvement of PCC data reporting across our provider organisations, including supporting delivery of primary care metrics. Knowledge and experience of clinical information systems, data process mapping, quality improvement techniques and engaging with a wide variety of stakeholders are a must.
The Project Manager role is an exciting position for an individual who brings excellent stakeholder engagement, analytical and service improvement skills, and a sound understanding of NHS data and information flows, and of the issues affecting patients with cancer.
NCLCA works to promote early diagnosis, optimise pathways, reduce variation and provide personalised support for patients. Patients and carers are at the heart of what we do. This is an exciting time to join the Alliance, as we drive forward an ambitious strategy, in collaboration with the NCL Integrated Care System, multiple NHS providers across primary and secondary care and with local authorities.
The hybrid role includes days at the NCLCA office in Wimpole Street and in-person visits to stakeholders across NCL.

• Project management and delivery – To develop and implement projects with a particular emphasis on data, information, PCC and the interface with primary care. Track project progress and ensure actions are undertaken in a timely way; escalate risks and issues as required
• Stakeholder engagement – To establish effective working relationships with, among others, PCC leads, cancer improvement/operational managers, data analysts, IT, clinical nurse specialists and primary care
• Analysis – Analyse and map current processes and data sources to identify areas for improvement in data quality, completeness, accuracy and the interface with primary care
• Change management – Identify strategies to enhance data collection, validation, accuracy and communication of information across the healthcare system through the development of best practice standards, protocols and use of quality improvement methodology
• Lead on delivery of agreed actions to support project implementation, reporting, recommendations and follow-up
• Communications – To actively engage, inform and influence key stakeholders.
• Provide support to meetings, workshops and events
  Experience in project management and knowledge of improvement methodology is essential. Experience of NHS data and clinical information systems is desired.
