In the project funding area of the Strategy, Programs, Resources (SPR) department, we support scientists from Postdoc level upwards in all aspects of grant applications.
In the area of EU funding with a special focus on ERC and in international funding we are looking for a new team player as soon as possible.

Your tasks

  • inform and advice scientists at Helmholtz Munich on international funding opportunities specifically within Horizon Europe
  • intensely support grant applications to the European Research Council (ERC), coordinated EU-projects and international funding organisations
  • organize and coordinate target-group specific information events
  • plan the budget together with the applicants, communicate to the funding organisations, including use of electronic tools
  • negotiate grant agreements with funding organisations and scientific coordinators/partners

Your profile

  • awarded university degree, preferably in natural sciences, PhD is an advantage
  • experience in budgeting for project plans and calculations, understanding of funding guidelines and grant agreement negotiations
  • excellent knowledge of relevant funding programs of EU as well as international funding lines (specifically in USA and UK)
  • proven experience with grant application to EU/international funders and/or in science management

Preferred qualifications

  • extended research experience, preferably in health research/life sciences
  • excellent communication skills in German and English, negotiations skills and flexible advisor competences with diverse research personalities
  • flexibility, resilience, and organisation skills, specifically with short notice deadlines
