Many Queenslanders experience mental illness, problematic alcohol and other drug use and mental health crisis over the course of their lives. Better Care Together is Queensland Health’s five-year plan for state-funded mental health, alcohol, and other drug (MHAOD) services.
In this role, you will adhere to defined service quality standards, health and safety policies, and procedures to ensure high-quality, safe services and workplaces. You will fulfill your responsibilities in line with Queensland public service values. Leading a team program management office, you will oversee human resources, performance, reporting, coaching, and mentoring. Your primary focus will be on the successful delivery of digital healthcare initiatives outlined in the Strategy, ensuring project outcomes are achieved and responsive to customer needs while complementing other Digital Transformation initiatives. You will mentor a team of project officers, and program staff in program management areas to ensure the quality support of the delivery program.The successful personTo excel in this role, you must demonstrate strong project management skills with a record of accomplishment of supporting successful project outcomes. Effective negotiation, consultation, facilitation, and both written and oral communication skills are essential for managing complex projects. You will be experienced managing conflicting priorities across various stakeholders, tracking agreed budgets and project plans. You will also be experienced in putting together strategies, framework and plans to enable informed decision making on project issues. In this role, you will be expected to facilitate project planning, modify processes and work closely with stream leads, senior program managers, directors, and senior directors to ensure proper documentation for the projects that are being followed and fulfilled. Additionally, you should have the proven ability to lead, manage, and mentor multiple multidisciplinary project teams while also developing effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders Furthermore, strong customer support and stakeholder management skills are crucial, along with the ability to maintain relationships and apply project management methodologies at a high level. While not mandatory, project management qualifications or experience with the development and implementation of enterprise solutions would be highly regarded. The Digital Transformation Team, implements and provides oversight on the strategic priorities of the Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Healthcare Digital Information Strategy 2022-2027.
