Description:

YOUR CONTRIBUTIONAS PROJECT MANAGER LEAD, YOU WILL:

  • Lead a team of project management resources in delivering key strategic projects.
  • Oversee the successful delivery of complex and high-risk projects to ensure project outcomes are achieved and enterprise solutions are delivered that are responsive to customer needs.
  • Provide expert advice and strategic input into the development of project business cases and deliverables to ensure they meet quality standards and comply with QLeave policies, strategies, and architecture.
  • Ensure projects are managed following best practice guidelines and QLeave’s formal project management (PM) approach and methodologies to enable the achievement of consistent and quality project outcomes.
  • Ensure internal and external stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle by developing and maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Manage projects by overseeing the monitoring and reporting of project-related trends and performance against project plans and budgets.
  • Enable informed decision-making on project issues by developing timely and relevant written submissions, briefs, presentations, and information papers for project stakeholders.
  • Manage the definition, documentation, and successful completion of a medium-scale project in line with QLeave project management methodologies.
  • Manage, monitor and report on project-related trends and performance against project plans and schedules.
  • Manage and monitor resources, expenses and capital costs against the project forecasts.
  • Initiate, influence and maintain relationships with and between key internal and external stakeholders, facilitate effective communication channels to promote the successful adoption of change within the business, and foster relationships through lessons learned, feedback mechanisms and management of expectations.
  • Provide advice relating to systems implementation to ensure that functionality aligns with established business requirements and functional models.
  • Provide knowledge transfer and training to other team members to enable ongoing support of the solution.
  • Any other tasks as directed from time to time as directed by your supervisor.
    This position reports to the Director Technology, Data and Strategic Projects and has no supervisory responsibilities.

  • Demonstrate high-level negotiation, consultation, facilitation, and written and oral communication skills for use in a complex project environment.
  • Work in a team environment and develop effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage one or more defined communication channels and/or stakeholder groups, and facilitate the business change decision-making processes, and the planning and implementation of change.
  • Understand appropriate project management methodologies (preferably PRINCE2), and an ability to promote and provide advice on the use of appropriate project management techniques, methodologies and tools.
  • Demonstrate your ability to mentor a small to medium-sized team.
  • Apply your analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrate experience in all phases of project management, including plans, resources, costs, timescales, deliverables and auditability for large, complex ICT program/project(s).
  • Demonstrate ability to develop and maintain relationships with key internal project stakeholders and external technology vendors to partner with and engage them in delivering the required ICT outcomes.

There are no mandatory qualifications for this role, however, previous experience in complex integration solutions such as Dynamics 365 or other Microsoft enterprise systems will be highly regarded.
