My client is a leading construction contractor in need of a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to assist in the delivery of projects in Auckland. A strong background and ability in construction programing is crucial. A good work ethic and a can-do attitude, coupled with demonstrable experience of getting projects over the line on time and to budget are essential. You will be responsible for leading and motivating the project team and ensuring a team approach is taken to safety and quality. Salary is $140-160k depending on experience. NZ experience is essential to be considered.
Applicants must have experience operating as a Project Manager, with exposure to working on a wide range of commercial construction projects. An industry relevant Diploma, NZCE or Bachelor degree is desirable. Strong planning and programming skills; experience of managing high performing project teams and subcontractors; strong team leadership skills, with the ability to motivate staff positively and constructively are essential.
The role has interaction with Site Staff, Quantity Surveyors, Engineers and clients. You must be a natural at developing and maintaining relationships.
This role is ideally suited to a qualified Project Manager who has the ability to manage the delivery whilst coordinating the bigger picture elements. Applications are sought from candidates who can demonstrate highly effective organizational and communication skills and previous career experience in the commercial construction sector.

Ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate:

• Proven ability in managing projects to deliver on time and to high quality levels in the NZ market
• Experience in liaising with stakeholders and the client in a professional manner
• Ability to manage communication and project documentation
• Ability to read plans and specifications
• Experience in programming work and ordering materials
• A strong health and safety focus at all times
