Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

The Procurement - Special Projects Manager is responsible for all aspects of Supply Change Management for the DelDuca site. Responsibilities include developing and executing domestic and international purchasing strategies for materials and services to ensure budgets are under control. Further, responsibilities will ensure that the processes for shipping, receiving, inventory management, and domestic and international logistics and legislation compliance, are optimized for current and pending market trends. Compiling and analysis of operational metrics will be required to minimize costs, negotiating prices and service agreements, and managing vendors. Collaborations with all stakeholders will be required to ensure clear communications and mitigate risks.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent oral communication with all stakeholders.
  • Accurate data analysis and reporting skills, using computer-based processes and software for operational and financial reports.
  • Three to five years experience in Supply Chain Management functions, in a manufacturing related environment.
  • Post-secondary education in an Engineering related field.
  • In process of obtaining or completed Purchasing, Supply Chain Management and/or Project Management certifications.
  • Experience in working with Business Operating System/Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
  • Adaptable to constant changes in internal and external requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop processes and procedures for the operational and financial functions that address the requirements of the investors, corporation, site, vendors and community stakeholders, and revise as require.
  • Purchasing raw materials, other good and services to maintain adequate inventory to support jobs and spare part orders.
  • Ensuring Standard components have sufficient inventory by analysis and releasing work orders as required to meet required demand.
  • Updating Business Operating System/Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software data and supporting operational managers.
  • Ensuring data integrity through standardization of Part_IDs, regular Inventory Counts and conformance to Purchasing Procedures.
  • Compiling and analyzing Manufacturing and Financial data for Management by data extraction embedded within the ERP and/or using SQL or other computer programming languages.
  • Maintain good vendor relationships, including resolving shipment or material nonconformances.
  • Trains new personnel in the use of ERP software.
  • Other duties to support operational and management requirements.
