MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in engineering, science or equivalent field
  • Extensive knowledge in API manufacture and experience in process development and Technology transfer.
  • Relevant qualification and/or experience in project management
  • Experience in external customer management in project delivery
  • Experience/relevant qualification in project and budget management

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the project as detailed in the agreed proposal with the identified functions. Ensuring that the project scope is well understood and that changes of scope are identified and raised as needed prior to the work being completed.
  • Lead a matrix team accountable for the delivery of projects from initial inception through to clinical and commercial supply which may also include product development. Co-ordinate all workstreams within the matrix team, ensuring alignment to the project plan, schedule and budget.
  • Define and maintain the project timeline. Ensuring this is communicated to and endorsed by each of the relevant functional team leads.
  • Chair project level meetings including both internal site and external project ‘Kick-off’ and ‘Wrap-up’ and steering team meetings.
  • Ensure that each workstream has suitable plans in place to deliver their project objectives on time and hold regular review meetings.
  • Ensure there are adequate resources available to complete the project. Where there are resource concerns, agree mitigation plans.
  • Work closely with the Business Managers, Screening & Quotations Lead and back office team to ensure flawless project execution, achieving full project delivery.
  • Accountability for tracking of project budgets and working with the Finance team to ensure that the revenue and EBIDTA for each project is delivered. Take corrective actions where appropriate in conjunction with the business manager.
  • Ensure health and Safety, quality, cost and ‘On time in Full’ targets are prioritised during the performance management and execution of all projects. Ensure quality issues and project risks which could potentially lead to non-compliance or late delivery are raised in a timely fashion.
  • For complex multi-site projects, the PM ensures that the Cork project plan is aligned to wider business plans and all supply chain aspects.
  • Collaborate with the Screening & Quotations Lead to assess new business opportunities and review completed projects to continually improve the quality and accuracy of future quotations and proposals.
  • Work with the workstreams to plan all 3rd party activities required, ensuring they are covered in the original project proposal and scope.
  • Support the maintenance of a profit centre/CDMO approach in how the site works and handles customers and projects.
