Description:

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in information Technology or related fields.
  • 10 to 15 years’ direct programme, project and delivery management experience in the asset management, insurance, banking & finance sectors, with a slant towards the front, middle or back-office systems.
  • Professional qualification in project management, such as APMP, PMQ, PMP or Prince2.
  • Confidence in Agile and Scrum methodologies would be beneficial.
  • Strong preference given to those who have led the implementation of large scale Aladdin / outsourced operational services in trade management, corporate actions, fund accounting, derivatives, reconciliations, corporate actions & reporting areas
  • Experience leading projects related to investment transformation initiatives, such as technology implementations, process improvements, or other strategic initiatives.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex information to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to identify and manage project risks and issues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience working in a PMO, or similar environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience working within the agreed project and change management governance frameworks. Process Modelling and Business Process Management.
  • Excellent risk and issue management experience.
  • High level of IT literacy, proficient user of all Microsoft Office tools and MS Projects.

Responsibilities:

ROLE SUMMARY

Project New Star is a significant, complex transformation and change programme undertaken by our client for Group Investments across multiple geographical regions & entities. It is organised into different programmes, e.g. front office, middle/back office, data etc.
The Project Manager will work with the Programme Owner, Operations Heads & relevant stakeholders teams across Middle/Back Office functions and PMO Governance structures to deliver the Middle / Back Office program under Project New Star. They will work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure activities and milestones are delivered on time and within scope and budget. They will need to develop and maintain project plans, analyse & escalate project risks/obstacles and actively participate in problem resolution & risk mitigation strategies.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide support to the Singapore Head of Investment Transformation, to deliver project goals and outcomes.
  • Lead project activities related to Project New Star MO/BO transformation initiatives, including technology implementations, process improvements, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Jointly work across the business and within Project New Star to develop robust migration / implementation / transition plans.
  • Within the Project New Star MO/BO workstream identify and manage project risks and issues and develop and implement mitigation strategies as needed.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across the organization to understand Project New Star MO/BO workstream requirements and ensure that stakeholder needs and expectations are met.
  • Manage Project New Star MO/BO workstream teams, including internal and external resources, and ensure that project tasks are completed on time and within budget.
  • Monitor and report on Project New Star MO/BO workstream progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Support the development and execution of the PMO strategy, including the development of project management tools and methodologies, and the development of training and support programs for project managers.
  • Work closely with other members of the PMO to ensure that project management processes are aligned with organizational goals and objectives.Develop and maintain Project New Star MO/BO workstream documentation, including project plans, status reports, and other project-related documentation.
