As a Project Manager specializing in Wind and Solar Farms, the successful candidate will play a key role in the planning, execution, and delivery of renewable energy projects across Australia. Working closely with cross-functional teams, they will oversee all aspects of project development, from initial concept design to construction and commissioning, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on renewable energy projects, particularly wind and solar farms.
  • Strong knowledge of wind and solar energy technologies, including site assessment, design optimization, and performance modeling.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects from conception to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience working with engineering consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies to deliver complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and software, such as MS Project, Primavera, or similar.
  • PMP or PRINCE2 certification is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites and attend meetings as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of wind and solar energy projects, including site selection, feasibility studies, and permitting processes.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory agencies, to facilitate project progress and resolve issues.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address project risks and uncertainties.
  • Oversee the design and engineering activities for wind and solar farms, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Procure equipment and materials for project construction, negotiating contracts and managing vendor relationships.
  • Monitor construction activities on-site to ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and environmental regulations.
  • Manage project documentation, including contracts, permits, drawings, and specifications, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings, providing updates on project status, milestones, and key deliverables.
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and managing expectations.
  • Coordinate commissioning and testing activities for completed projects, ensuring compliance with performance specifications and customer requirements.
  • Prepare project reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and lessons learned.
  • Collaborate with business development teams to identify new project opportunities and support proposal development efforts.
  • Mentor junior project team members and provide guidance and support as needed to foster their professional development.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments related to renewable energy, incorporating best practices into project execution.
