Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

An opportunity for one (1) x Project Officer, Data Analysis, located in Docklands.
The Health & Wellbeing Hub is the single most significant investment in the health, safety, and wellbeing of Victoria Police employees to prevent and respond to work related injuries. Six multi-disciplinary teams are being established, based in hubs across the state, with a focus on enhancing employee’s mental health, injury prevention, early intervention, and recovery support.
We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Project Officer, Data Analysis to join our team. The incumbent will have the opportunity to work on meaningful projects within Victoria Police, including implementing the Health & Wellbeing Hub, providing insights that contribute to informed decision-making and strategic planning.
The Project Officer, Data Analysis role will support the development of the monitoring database for effective decision making for multiple forums while working closely with key internal and external stakeholders, including the project and operations multi-disciplinary teams.
Reporting to Sr Project Manager, the incumbent will also analyse data from various data sources, and be responsible for generating reports and interactive dashboards as per business needs and requirements.

YOUR DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Manage the collection, evaluation, collation, analysis and controlled dissemination of information in respect of complex investigations/situations.
  • Analyse large datasets including basics like excel, to extract actionable insights and inform strategy.
  • Perform data transformation and manipulation to prepare data for analysis from multiple data sources.
  • Create compelling visualizations and reports using SAS / MS Power BI to present and share findings with relevant stakeholders on periodical basis.
  • Maintain and manage databases, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Develop complex SQL queries and scripts to retrieve and analyse data from various sources.
  • Provide high quality recommendations in respect of the analysis of intelligence and statistical data, identification and evaluation of emerging patterns and trends in Health Safety & Wellbeing
  • Liaise with internal and external potential sources of information and data in order to obtain assistance in the provision of timely and accurate intelligence and reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decisions.
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in data analysis and visualization tools.
