Responsibilities:

THE ROLE:

You will have the opportunity to work within diverse project-based teams to coordinate and complete the delivery of core support activities for a range of large-scale ICT projects with competing priorities.
You will be responsible for coordinating and completing the delivery of core support activities for a range of projects with competing priorities. Tasks include project scheduling assistance, reviewing monthly reporting requirements, monitoring issues and risks, and providing best practice advice on project support functions.
In addition to this you will Provide secretariat, program, and project management support services to our wider team including coordination and documentation of program governance meetings, coordinate requests on behalf of the team such as preparing confidential operational documents, briefing papers, reports, and responses to information requests.
You will also maintain relationships with and between internal and external stakeholders, facilitate effective communications and foster relationships through feedback mechanisms and management of expectations.

FURTHER DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Provide planning and scheduling assistance to large scale, complex Information
  • Management (IM) and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) program/project(s).
  • Monitor and report on work package activities against agreed criteria.
  • Support risk and issue identification, assessment and mitigation activities by ensuring risks and issues are documented, reviewed and escalated as appropriate.
  • Maintain program/project files in accordance with Queensland Health regulations and policies.
  • Assist with the compilation of project management reports and other general administrative tasks.
  • Ensure use of appropriate project management techniques, methodologies and tools in line with Queensland Health policy.

    To be successful in this opportunity you will demonstrate analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills and an ability to coordinate multiple tasks within agreed priorities, timeframes, and accountabilities.
    Experience in an IM/ICT project environment, including scheduling, risk management, reporting and budgeting, and an ability to coordinate the delivery of work packages is essential to succeed.
    Additionally, ideally you will have knowledge of appropriate project management methodologies (PRINCE2) and ability to provide advice on the use of appropriate project management techniques, methodologies, and tools, with Experience in, or the ability to assist with the compilation of program/project information, maintenance of program/project files and the preparation and presentation of management reports.
