Description:

The role

The purpose of this role is to coordinate and facilitate project management and governance processes and support for the MHAOD SPB unit. In particular, the role will support implementation of Queensland Health led adult mental health initiatives and priorities under Better Care Together - a plan for Queensland’s state-funded mental health alcohol and other drug service to 2027 and the Bilateral Schedule on Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Agreement.

  • Contribute to policy development and implementation of mental health, alcohol and other drug programs and projects.
  • Provide administrative support to projects and committees, including preparation of agendas, papers, minutes and reporting, meeting coordination, consultation and documentation management.
  • Utilise strategic, conceptual and analytical skills to develop reports and discussion papers.
  • Liaise with program participants to coordinate activities that support the delivery of project/program outcomes.

Responsibilities:

THE ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE ARE:

  • Proven experience within a project environment delivering multiple tasks and activities to required deadlines, often in partnership with other team member or stakeholders who may have different priorities.
  • Demonstrated experience working collaboratively within a team to establish and improve project related systems and processes including governance and reporting.
  • Proven ability to advise and collaborate with key stakeholders, build relationships, influence understanding and support the delivery of projects.
  • Developed written and interpersonal communication skills to support the preparation of documentation and relationship building with key stakeholders and team members.
  • Proven ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in escalating risks that are beyond the remit of the role.
