SnT is a leading international research and innovation centre in secure, reliable and trustworthy ICT systems and services. We play an instrumental role in Luxembourg by fueling innovation through research partnerships with industry, boosting R&D investments leading to economic growth, and attracting highly qualified talent.
SnT is active in several international research and innovation projects funded by the Fonds National de la Recherche (FNR), the EU Horizon 2020 programme, the European Space Agency and the European Defense Agency. SnT has developed a broad and effective partnership program, currently made of more than 60 industrial and institutional partners located in Luxembourg and in Europe.
Since 2020, SnT implements the Acceleration Program with the aim to raise awareness on entrepreneurship among researchers, helps researchers investigate the commercial potential of their research results and supports researchers in developing an MVP, a business plan and a fund raising strategy before launching a company. Since its creation SnT has created 6 spinoffs of which 5 are still active.
The Technology Transfer Office (TTO) of the Centre is managing the acquisition of partnerships with Industry and the commercialization of Intellectual Property (IP), in particular the Acceleration Programme. For further information please look at: www.securityandtrust.lu

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the SnT Acceleration Program and project management across its different projects, from coaching scientists to identifying gaps in specific projects, giving support and advice to overcome them, in collaboration with other Technology Transfer Officers and Project Officers
  • Contribute to the project plan and contribute to budget follow-up of Centre activities
  • Contribute to internal cooperation and communication between internal and external stakeholders like the communication team, project coordinators, financial controllers, UNiLu incubator, Technoport, LuxInnovation, FNR and other entities, projects and central services
  • Liaise with SnT TTO officers for IP related matters and future licensing
  • Monitor the progress of projects from proposal writing to project execution and reporting
  • Support teams in securing funding through available funding mechanisms for entrepreneurs
  • Participate in designing the training courses on entrepreneurship for SnT researchers
  • Monitor quality assurance and compliance of projects, liaise with legal team when necessary
  • Support periodical project reporting according to defined formats and project standards
  • Ensure internal communication and cooperation with other faculties and the University administration regarding entrepreneurship and technology transfer related questions
  • Assist in preparing and following up internal and external meetings, conferences and events of the Technology Transfer Office related to entrepreneurship
  • Contribute to knowledge transfer and best practices in sharing and dissemination research results
  • Coordinate the entrepreneurial community of researchers and contribute with organizing events, inviting inspiring speakers, inquire about the interesting topics to boost their business mindest
