JOB DESCRIPTION

A Project Like No Other
Join us on a groundbreaking journey with Snowy 2.0, a monumental advancement in the Snowy Scheme’s legacy and Australia’s largest committed renewable energy initiative. With a focus on providing on-demand energy and extensive storage capacity, Snowy 2.0 serves as a cornerstone for the future generations in the nation’s transition towards a low-carbon emissions future.
The Location
Working a 14/7 Roster, nestled within the awe-inspiring Snowy Mountains, our project offers an office backdrop unlike any other. Join our vibrant and inclusive team where work is not just a task but a joyous experience, enriched by the unparalleled beauty of our beautiful surroundings.
The Role
As the Project Planner, you will oversee the coordination of the program within a specific sub-project. Serving as a subject matter expert, you will link the integrated program with onsite planning. This position provides crucial onsite support, ensuring alignment between the master program and the sub-project, and facilitating the flow of actual data and insights back to the master program and project controls. Your primary responsibility will be to enhance onsite delivery and the overall program by identifying and addressing any deficiencies in project planning and scheduling.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with the development and implementation of the Project Programme for Snowy 2.0.
  • Working with the Integrated Planning Team, onsite Project Management Team, and Contractors to verify and validate all data and configured information.
  • Analysing data from primary Programme (Primavera P6) and other key Project platforms such as HSE and Quality pillars.
  • Collaborating with Contractor Teams to verify and validate data and configured information.
  • Coordinating with the Project Controls team to correlate time, costs, and value reporting.
  • Verifying short-term lookahead plans at L5 and L6 detail levels.
  • Updating Project Managers on alignment with or deviation from the Project baseline programme.
  • Ensuring plans are resourced to assure confidence in delivery.
  • Preparing analysis of trends in progress, resources, and Project Key Pillars.
  • Working closely with statutory stakeholders to provide analysis upon request.

You’ll Bring To The Team:
Proven experience in a role within the planning and scheduling function of a mega-project will be essential. Experience in hydro projects would be particularly advantageous. You’ll bring a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Strong communication and report writing skills are crucial, along with proficiency in the Office Suite. Familiarity with industry planning and reporting platforms like Oracle Suite or Deltek would be beneficial. You should excel in orally articulating information and meeting deliverables within specified time frames. Good interpersonal skills are essential for collaborating effectively across functional teams. Additionally, you must be willing to work at the site sub-project location on a roster/swing basis of 14 days on and 7 days off.
The Team
We uphold the principle of “One Team Working Together”. If this is a team you would like to be part of, apply now! We can’t wait for you to join us in the Snowy 2.0 team
