JOB SUMMARY:

Our client in Waterloo, ON is looking for a Project / Program Management Senior. This is a contract position.

Responsibilities:

The Program Manager will assist the team in meeting their delivery goals (coordinates with product owner(s) and other scrum masters, communicates delivery status as needed to management). The Program Manager supports and enforces the Scrum processes and other rules agreed on by the team.

  • Facilitates scrum processes /meetings (Daily Standups, Planning, Splitting & Sizing, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Team Demos and Retrospectives).
  • Communicates team commitments through Scrum of scrums.
  • Will help drive technical coordination/meetings.
  • Will work to resolve technical or resource impediments before the team is blocked. In some cases, the Scrum Master may coordinate with team resources to facilitate and follow-up to resolve blockers.
  • Facilitates prep and readiness for Program Activities (PI Planning, System Demos, Retrospectives).
  • Obtains ongoing progress and works to prevent and/or address team impediments.
  • Ensures coordination/communication with other IVI software teams for technical or resource dependencies required for upcoming deliveries.
  • Enforce DoD, best-in-class epics, stories, change requests, tasks, and defects authoring, and verify unit test tracking.
  • Collaborate with software partners to design and integrate application software components.
  • Manage software quality through code reviews, static/dynamic analysis, rigorous testing, and a persistent focus on automation.
  • Mentor embedded software developers, provide performance feedback and assessments, and build a competency roadmap for career development.
  • Create a highly collaborative, motivated team environment and partner with project managers, embedded system engineers, embedded software developers, and embedded software quality assurance engineers daily as well as with key UX design and test teams.
