Main responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the successful delivery to cost and time for dedicated component, manufacturing technology or a defined package of work within the project in line with company Supply Chain processes
  • Lead supplier negotiation, component selection to support electrical engineering activity
  • Initiate and manage supplier and component approval process in line with the Company Quality and Manufacturing processes
  • As a strategic partner of the business, you participate in research and development projects on behalf of the Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management
  • Coordinate with Project Engineers and Design Engineers to Ensure Best Service and Direct Material Supply Chains are Utilized
  • You are a spider in the web between our internal product development department and external suppliers
  • Identify and select the right suppliers, technologies focusing on critical parts / key value drivers in accordance with Manufacturing and Supply Chain strategy
  • Handle the Requests for Quotations of international supplier relationship management - mainly focusing on manufacturers/OEMs
  • Responsible for Hardware and component Tracking to Ensure On-Site Delivery Against Program Milestones
  • Responsible for the component management - forecast and actual costs – to support management decisions to the key stakeholders.
  • Maintain the documentation necessary to deliver the package(s) of work within the project
  • Act as the communication leader for contract and escalation route for all aspects related to the manufacturers, suppliers, components in scope of work
  • Support make/buy decisions

Required skills:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in engineering/project management/economy discipline (aerospace is preferred) with 2+ years of experience with project purchasing or commodity purchasing and cost management or a Master’s degree in engineering discipline
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly.
  • Technical and/or industrial working environment (experience with Bill of Materials, key value drivers, etc.)
  • Assimilation to international and intergenerational working environment
  • Knows what it is to work in an internationally oriented team and working environment
  • Fluent in English
  • Negotiation skills, pragmatic and flexible attitude
  • Mindset for open, direct, hands-on, flexible and entrepreneurial working culture
  • Driven by technology and focused on delivering tomorrow’s electrical products, from idea to realization
  • Mindset to support the manufacturing technologies and focus in productization
