Project Quality Manager

We are actively seeking an experienced Project Quality Manager to join our team for an upcoming project in Australia. As an integral part of our Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment department, you will oversee contractual compliance, readiness reviews, and interactions with project teams, subcontractors, and third parties. Reporting to the Project Director/Manager & Manager Quality OW/OFF, your role will focus on ensuring the highest standards in all aspects of the project.

• Ability of implementation regarding project improvements, discipline guidelines, and project procedures.

EXPERIENCE AND FUNCTION REQUIREMENTS:

• At least 10 years’ strong experience, leadership, and knowledge in project quality management activities, welding, NDT, coating, materials, and strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and related standards.
• Strong empathy with proactive quality management and “FIRST TIME RIGHT” principle.
• HBO technical degree.
• Inspection experience.
• I.W.T. or I.W.E.
• Safety certificate e.g., VCA VOL.
• NACE level 2 or 3, FROSIO 2 or 3 (if applicable)

• Ensure contractual clarity for Quality assurance and control.
• Promote Quality awareness within the project team.
• Conduct readiness reviews at subcontractor sites/yards.
• Interact with the project team in HAZIDS and HAZOPS.
• Manage compliance of subcontractor’s quality documents.
• Forecast man-hours for the project Quality team.
• Handle non-conformances.
• Allocate and coordinate Quality staff based on project needs.
• Ensure optimal performance of Quality staff on all project sites.
• Implement improvement activities on a QHSE level.
• Create a safe work environment for Quality staff.
• Prepare tender reviews, advise on Quality matters.
• Assist the project team in QA and QC-related matters.
• Prepare Project QA documents and periodic reporting.
• Initiate Project Quality meetings and attend risk sessions.
• Conduct vendor audits and review design packages.
• Assist QC Supervisor with subcontractor readiness reviews.
• Review (and approve) Subcontractor documents.
• Prepare risk-based Project ITP and coordinate Pre-Inspection Meetings.
• Set up and maintain working files.
• Monitor Quality staff and provide input to Project - Director/Manager.
• Close-out NCR’s.
