Description:

Alfa Laval is currently embarking on a ‘Drive growth through superior customer experience’ and a Digital transformation journey. We are looking for a Project Order Handler to join a fast-paced team and be a part of a truly diverse and inclusive workplace.
About the job:
Responsible to execute and monitor the Order to Cash process for Standard Orders, Project orders from order acceptance to final delivery and invoicing.
The position has a strong demand to have a customer first mindset, willingness to be a part of our digital transformation and sustainability journey.

Key Tasks:

  • Execute and manage the standard order processes (order to cash) via ERP System (iScala).
  • Execution of projects until hand over to the customer, involving delivery and commissioning
  • Place orders to internal factories and external suppliers.
  • Being the point of contact to the Customer and accomplishing the project goals taking support from BU Managers, P&A & Engineering & Supply team.
  • Communicate with customers and follow up on order acknowledgements.
  • Follow up & co-ordinate to ensure delivery is done in line with the incoterms, delivery time and agreed costs.
  • Timely escalation and resolution of issues arising during order handling / project execution process.
  • Handling Logistics / order administration – Review and finalization of shipping documents.
  • Timely Invoicing and submission of supporting documents for payments.
  • Commissioning of the Equipment: Coordinating with Service department for deputing field service engineers.
  • Order backlog and goods movement inventory follow up.
  • Ensure customer is always informed on the order status and respond to customer queries promptly.
  • Ensure compliance to standard business processes throughout order handling process.
  • Develop intra organizational network to ensure smooth and timely execution of customer orders.
  • Effectively communicate with factories, suppliers, and other stake holders within and outside the organization
  • Register and manage claims throughout the whole claim handling / investigation process.
  • Should be able to work under pressure collaborate with different stake holders and prioritize customer needs according to changing business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • University Degree - bachelor’s in engineering or equivalent technical qualifications
  • Project management experience.
  • Minimum 6-7 years of experience in Order Handling/Project Management

    with a multinational company.

  • Working experience with Letter of Credits, LC documentation and Trade Finance.

  • Working knowledge of commercial Incoterms
  • Knowledge of logistics with a knowledge of import export process & documentation
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • MicroSoft Projects or similar proficiency as highly desirable
