Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
Oversee the execution of large-scale Zero Emission Bus projects and take responsibility for managing all aspects including the construction, installation and commissioning of an electrical network grid connection, depot electrical and charging infrastructure and the deployment of a significant fleet of battery electric buses. This is a fixed term contract planned for completion on 30 September 2025.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES
- Ensure compliance with the Project Scope, Works Brief, as well as all relevant codes, regulations, specifications, and safety standards.
- Project planning and execution including coordinating and integrating external stakeholder project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Act as the Principal’s Superintendent during the construction and installation activities for the electrical network grid connection, depot electrical infrastructure, and charging stations.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, regulations, specifications, and safety standards.
- Oversee the commissioning and testing phase.
- Collaborate with the internal fleet department on the timing of the deployment of a large fleet of battery electric buses, including the coordination of the availability of the electrical infrastructure.
- Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure the highest standards of workmanship and reliability.
