Description:
- Utilise your expertise in Project Support to provide support and advice to Corrections Victoria across three separate Victorian prisons (Dame Phyllis Frost Centre, Tarrengower and the Metropolitan Remand Centre)
- A Fixed-Term, Full-Time opportunity to work with a high-performing and passionate team in the Victorian Public Service until 30th June 2025
- VPS Grade 3: $74,580 - $90,558 plus superannuation.

Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a key member of the Employment Specialists team you will be primarily involved in assisting the delivery of existing and new employment services and programs to both prison staff and to people in prisons. The role will also include opportunities to participate in service and process improvement, delivery strategy and leadership. The aims of this employment function are to provide practical support and options for people in prison to access sustainable employment post release.
SOME OF YOUR DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Working closely with the Women’s Employment Specialists to build awareness and understanding of the Employment Hub and specific employment services and support within the prison community through relationship building with staff and strategic communication efforts directed to people in prison
- Assisting the Women’s Employment Specialist to connect people in prisons with specialist employment agencies and existing employment programs such as Outside Jobs and Vacro Second Change Jobs programs – extracting and collating relevant candidate information, booking meetings with agencies, taking minutes, and noting follow up actions
- Working with the Women’s Employment Specialists to advertise, promote and manage recruitment efforts as part of recruitment campaigns initiated by the Employment Pathways Team - posting vacancies on jobs boards, taking referrals from staff, collating candidate information, maintaining databases and records.

About You:As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
- An understanding and awareness of Corrections Victoria and the key issues impacting Corrections Victoria, particularly within the area of program and services for people engaged in the justice system
- Some awareness or experience in employment services or recruitment services, or in the delivery of a service focused program to enhance peoples’ wellbeing, ideally in a correctional setting (preferred but not essential)
- Demonstrated experience in providing high quality program delivery support.
