Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Corporate Strategy Directorate based in Headquarters.
This role is a key supporting role for Strategy, Commissioning & Sustainability. You will join a small but impactful team of Project Support Officers supporting the Deputy Director of Strategy, the Assistant Director of Strategy and the Sustainability programme.
The post holder will support the smooth running of the Team and manage the heavy workload a busy office demands.
Working within the Health Board’s Strategy Team, this is an ideal role for someone who wants to lend their existing skills and abilities to a role within a multi-skilled and professional team.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and work to tight deadlines, providing exemplary
administrative and organisation skills.
A multi-skilled and faceted role; facilitating and supporting meetings across the Strategy Directorate, preparing all relevant documentation and information including accurate and well-presented correspondence, reports, minutes and other materials.
The post requires the maintenance of diaries for the Deputy Director and Assistant Director of Strategy as well as organising of internal, multi-directorate, multi-partnership meetings, booking of venues and catering arrangements when required.
The role will also provide project support the Health Board’s Sustainability programme through servicing meetings and maintaining/ updating action logs/plans.
The role is required to order, receipt and maintain adequate equipment and supplies within the department, opening incoming emails and maintaining a comprehensive filing system.
This role will also require interface with various IT programs and internal systems and be responsible for updating databases, excel or equivalent systems and assist in the collation and analysis of information as directed.
Working using their own initiative taking responsibility for the quality of their work and the service they provide, the post holder will work to clearly defined occupational policies, referring core complex issues to the Strategic Lead.
To undertake general office duties as and when required, which includes photocopying, dealing with telephone enquiries and providing secretarial cover to the Director’s office as and when required.
