The role of Project Technical Lead is based in our Lighting Business Group in Nový Jičín next to Ostrava.
REQUIREMENTS:
- University degree in engineering or Secondary school degree with several years of work experience in designing automotive components
- At least 5 years of work experience in lamp design (mechanical, optical or electrical)
- Leadership skills, project management skills
- Very good work organization and autonomous/self-motivated work-attitude
- Willingness to regularly travel and visit other locations, customers or suppliers
- Very good cost consciousness
- English language (proficient)
- Proficiency in presentation skills and experienced in presenting to large audiences

Responsibilities:
- Manage a project team to develop a lamp project on system level
- Coordinate design activities of mechanical, optical and electrical engineers to develop a system that fulfills customer requirements
- Technical interface to customer for all engineering issues and reporting of results incl. Optics, Mechanics, Electronics and Modules (e.g. LDMs/Projectors)
- Responsible for system OIL
- Define Project Strategy for the lamp system (define work-products and processes to be applied, re-use strategy, process baselines and process tailoring)
- Create and maintain system development time schedule with all internal and external milestones
- Lead PD aspects of time schedule incl. time constraints from optics, mechanics and electronics and coordinate with PM
- Responsible for product BOM
- Manage Risk (Identify and highlight risks, follow up with impact analysis, Develop plan to mitigate risk)
- Coordinate change mgmt. within PD and the customer: Evaluate technical and time impact for PD of change, supports commercial implications
- Leads the technical part of PIC
- Define/integrate manufacturing requirements (assembly sequence, tools, EOL testers, handling instructions, tolerances, SC/CCs,…) and agree with manufacturing - specific to satisfying system requirements
- Responsible for DFMEA, patent clearance, design to cost
- Ensure passing TDRs milestones.
- Support of technical communication with suppliers
- Responsible for Requirements management
- Support of DV plan creation
- Measure project performance using KPIs for the respective working results and for the product and process quality (Ensure compliance to VPDS)
- Responsible for timely, successful product validation
- Support of industrialization phase as required and requested
- Transfer project to C/P
