Description:

PROMOTIONS COORDINATOR

We are seeking a Promotions Coordinator to support our Corporate Purchasing team, located in our Vernon, BC Head Office.
This dynamic role is focused on coordinating and confirming monthly promotional plans and the execution of our bi-weekly flyers, including managing vendor participation in co-op planning. A critical component of this role is to connect, coordinate and align Category Managers, Marketing teams, Purchasing coordinator and vendor partners to ensure the successful execution of promotional strategies.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 2 - 3 years’ experience in a highly detailed planning and administration role - extra points for it being in Consumer Packaged Goods ("CPG") experience in a natural channel
  • Experience with an ERP system
  • Comprehensive knowledge of MS Office Suite (Intermediate to Advanced Excel is a must)
  • Strong planning skills with experience collecting, organizing, analyzing and disseminating an abundance of information with accuracy
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Post secondary education

Responsibilities:

This role is highly focused on the details and leads by example in data accuracy, efficiency, and process standardization. As a Promotions Coordinator, you can expect to:

  • Coordinate and administer of co-op advertising planning for Grocery and/or Wellness categories under direction and collaboration of Category Managers, Marketing and Director of Purchasing.
  • Manage ad commitments in Napstack/issue contracts/utilize DocuSign
  • Maintain governance for flyer/COOP procedures and timelines to ensure Marketing deadlines are met and best practices are considered
  • Manage governance of promotional planners, to ensure information is updated and correct.
  • Manage maintenance of flyer items and flyer space:
  • Data Governance of Flyer/promotional items
  • Avoid duplication of competing products
  • Ensure vendors have inventory leading into flyer promotion
  • Theme planning (Thanksgiving, Canada Day, Mother’s Day, etc)
  • Maintain Master demo tracker for all planned demos.
  • Communicate with our store demo staff to ensure proper execution
  • Coordinate demos with Vendor partners and promotional vehicles (flyer/instore)
  • Develop and execute reporting and analytics for demo performance.
  • Set-up vendor run flyers and ensure there are no collisions with current promotions.
