Description:

DESCRIPTION

Our Surrey client, a large and growing company, is looking for a permanent full-time Property Accountant to join the team.
Hybrid work model, minimum 3 days per week in office
Location: Surrey (Office relating to downtown Vancouver end of year)
Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 + benefits

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:

  • Large and forever growing portfolio
  • CAM Reconciliations: upload charges, send out statements to tenants and handle inquiries
  • Budget: Calculate tenant charges (prebilled) based on operating expense budgets provided by real estate managers
  • Update pre-billed charges in Yardi and generate new rent schedules for tenants
  • New lease, renewal, and assignment set up in Yardi
  • Tenant Ledger Reconciliation
  • Month-end closing entries
  • Generate statements in Yardi and make adjustments per property tax consultant’s needs.
  • Ad-Hoc Tasks (real estate managers’ and tenant requests)

The Successful Candidate:

  • 1-2 years of property accounting experience: AP and AR for residential or commercial properties
  • Yardi and/or AvidXchange experience is an asset
  • Proficient in Excel (vlookup, sumif, sumifs, sumproduct)
  • Adaptable working style and personality
  • Always looking for challenges at work
  • Being able to focus and multi-task
  • Excellent attention to details
  • Self-motivated; take ownership of the portfolio
  • Super fast paced environment
