Description:

Your role
As our Specialist Claims Handler, you will manage a portfolio of household claims from initial notification to conclusion, following agreed-upon claims processes and fulfilling claims through our network of suppliers or cash settlement.
You will have excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills, you will also collaborate closely with your customers and approved suppliers to bring the claims to a successful conclusion. You will prioritise customer satisfaction and maintain transparency throughout the claims process. Majority of your time will be spent managing customer interactions, whether by phone or email. You will be communicating with suppliers. and serving as the primary source of knowledge and experience for the claims your project managing.
Your role requires you to primarily deal with home claims resulting from the escape of water, floods, and fire. However, you will be required to handle all types of claims up to the value of £15,000.
Following your induction, your role will be hybrid, with 1-3 days in office a week to collaborate with colleagues.
About you
As the primary point of contact for our customers, you will provide excellent customer service, and uphold RSA values by providing assurance, direction, and a clear path forward. You will have knowledge in insurance/claims handling and be used to thinking on your feet and making effective decisions.
It would be desirable if you have an understanding of building and contents damage, in relation to the input of risk and the circumstances of loss. As well as technical experience in the stabilisation and management of water damage however this is not essential as full training will be provided.
